Legal
These terms govern your access to and use of the workforce training platform operated by EquipBot, Inc. (doing business as Mereon). Please read them carefully.
Effective
By accessing or using the services of EquipBot, Inc. (doing business as Mereon, "Mereon"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("ToS"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
Mereon provides businesses with tools to upload video and other content and train their teams on it. Users can ask questions and complete training on the content provided. Mereon relies on third-party model providers, including but not limited to OpenAI, to deliver some of its features.
Organizations can be created by Mereon admins or by businesses. The owner of the organization is responsible for inviting and managing user accounts within the organization.
Account roles:
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login information and ensuring that their use of the service complies with these ToS.
Mereon operates on a month-to-month subscription basis. Subscription plans renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing cycle. Pricing details will be provided when available.
Cancellation: Organization owners and admins can cancel their organization's subscription at any time prior to the next billing cycle. Upon cancellation, access to the service continues until the end of the current subscription period and then ends. Cancelling stops billing but does not delete your data; see our Privacy Policy for how to delete an organization and its data.
Mereon is intended solely for lawful, business use. Users agree to:
Mereon reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Your organization is responsible for the content it uploads to Mereon and for what it records, narrates, or creates with Mereon, including recordings made with Mereon's software. You represent that your organization has every right, license, and consent that content needs, including from any person who appears in a recording or whose personal information it contains, and for any voice used to narrate it.
If you use a third-party service with your own account through Mereon's software, such as your own ElevenLabs account for narration, that provider's terms govern your use of that service.
Mereon may provide software that you install and run on your own devices, such as the @mereon/demo command-line tool. That software is offered under its own open-source license, the Apache License 2.0 for @mereon/demo, and that license governs your use of the software's code. These ToS govern your use of the Mereon service through it. The license grants no right to use the Mereon name or trademarks and no access to the service itself.
You are responsible for the devices and environments you run the software on, for the scripts and commands you have it run, for keeping the credentials it stores secure, and for reviewing what it records before you upload it.
EquipBot, Inc. reserves the right to terminate your access to the service at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, Mereon is under no obligation to provide access to any data, including user-uploaded content.
EquipBot, Inc. makes no warranties regarding:
The service, and any software Mereon provides, is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EquipBot, Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to these ToS, the service, or any software Mereon provides, even if it has been told such damages are possible.
To the same extent, EquipBot, Inc.'s total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to these ToS, the service, or that software is limited to the fees your organization paid Mereon for the service in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
Mereon collects data provided by users, including but not limited to names, business operational data, and project-related content. By using the service, users consent to Mereon's collection and use of this data to provide the service.
Mereon does not share user data with third parties except as necessary to deliver the service (e.g., using third-party model providers).
These ToS are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising under these ToS shall be adjudicated in the courts located in Lubbock, Texas.
EquipBot, Inc. does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance windows may occur without prior notice. Customer support inquiries can be submitted via email, and responses may take up to three business days.
EquipBot, Inc. reserves the right to modify these ToS at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
